Buffet Crampon Old Style Tradition A Clarinet

Inspired by a pre-1950s design, the Buffet Tradition has been adapted with the need of modern musical repertoire and performance practise in mind.

This model is ideal for professional musicians. The body of the clarinet is made from high quality Mozambican grenadilla wood.

The new cylindrical bore compliments both the R13 and RC bore families and adds a new acoustic dimension to Buffet’s catalogue of clarinets. The sound produced is reminiscent of the BC20, one of the initial alternatives to the R13, manufactured to produce a darker more focused sound.

Taking inspiration from the Tosca’s tone hole placement, the Tradition produces a clear, focused, rich sound suitable for any acoustic environment and an even scale for consistent intonation throughout all registers.

Buffet has been producing clarinets since 1825 and are well respected within the industry. Buffet clarinets are commonplace in orchestras and ensembles across the world.

This clarinet comes complete with a pouchette style case covered in simili-leather. Inside it also has a pull through, cork grease, a sample reed, pencil and silver-plated ligature and cap.
