The Aizen SO is based on the classic Selmer Soloist design. It is moderately bright and edgy compared to the darker Aizen LS model. The SO version has a lot of projection and is extremely easy and immediate to play. Players that are after a little extra bite without losing the quality and weight of tone would like the SO. Ideal for lead in a Big Band, R&B, Soul, Pop, Funk etc. With its smooth flow and outstanding responsiveness, this is a high quality mouthpiece, suitable for both classical and jazz alike. The special chamber and short shank give a warm yet punchy tone. AIZEN has designed it to avoid the airflow problems that plague vintage mouthpieces hitting low notes.
