Walter Grabner Kaspar Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece: K11 | K13 | K14

As we all know, Kaspar mouthpieces have been revered for years for their dark, ringing tone and clear response. Though they are decades old, many are still played every day and treasured by their owners.

Announcing my "Kaspar-Style" mouthpieces - the CXZ_K series.

These mouthpieces play with a warm, dark sound and speak with incredible authority. The projection is excellent. No longer will you strain to be heard. At the same time, you will be able to play with incredible delicacy.

CXZ_K11 - Similar to the Kaspar 11.

Close tip, medium curve. Dark, warm ringing tone, with a close tip, for utmost precision. Compatible with a Gonzales, and Vandoren V12, # 3 ½ to 4 strength reed. Tunes 440-442. "Enhanced Lower Baffle" for deeper and darker tone with reinforced lower harmonics.

CXZ_K13 - Similar to the old Kaspar 13 (Very popular)

Medium close tip, medium curve.

Same warm, dark tone, and response, as the K11, for those who prefer a slightly softer reed. I use a very reed friendly facing. Gonzales and Vandoren V12 3 ½ reeds work well on this mouthpiece. Tunes 440-442.

"Enhanced Lower Baffle" for deeper and darker tone with reinforced lower harmonics.

CXZ_K14 - Same warm tone as the CXZ_K13, but more free-blowing. Great mouthpiece for doublers and for playing Jazz or Klezmer.

Medium tip, medium curve.

It has a warm, "singing" tone, with great response. Very "free-blowing".

Walter uses a very reed friendly facing. Use Vandoren #3 or 3 ½ strength reeds, or lighter as you prefer. Tunes 440-442

CXZ_K2e - Dark but projects like crazy!

The same facing as the CXZ_K13, but with an altered baffle for greater projection. Focused, dark, with excellent response, it is a great mouthpiece for the clarinet soloist. Tunes higher c. 442 - 442+. "Enhanced Lower Baffle" for deeper and darker tone with reinforced lower harmonics.
